N° 1 : Emily in Paris
Coming to the Netflix platform in 2020, the series is set in the French capital.
The main actress can be seen doing her daily exercise in the city’s largest green space, the Luxembourg Gardens. Created in 1612, this park of over 20 hectares is a haven of peace in the heart of Paris. Located in the 6th arrondissement, it is the perfect place to take a break from the city that never sleeps.
Let’s go to the Place de l’Estrapade in the 5th arrondissement! In the series Emily in Paris we can see the actress buying her flowers and meeting Gabriel in his restaurant on this square. A typical Parisian square : cobbled streets, restaurants with romantic atmospheres and surrounded by plane trees. This place is worth a visit if you are in Paris !
N°2 : Plus belle la vie in Marseille
Head to the south of France with the French series that has been popular for over 18 years : Plus belle la vie. This programme has just finished with the last shooting on 29 September.
Moreover, several scenes were shot in Parc Borély, a large 18-hectare park with a botanical garden in the heart of the city. Located near the Avenue du Prado, this park has become a regular backdrop for this successful series.
In the must-see places to visit in Marseille : the panier district. This is the oldest district of the city, with pretty squares and steep streets. A small tourist train is proposed there because the streets are very steep.
N°3 : Harry Potter in Scotland
A saga of worldwide success, Harry Potter was born in Scotland, in Edinburgh !

Actually the tour starts at the Glenfinnan Viaduct, from Fort William you can board the Hogwarts Express. On this journey you can see the most mythical filming locations of the Harry Potter saga.
Thus, are you wondering where the Hogwarts lake is ? Well, there are two lakes used in the films : Loch Morar and Loch Shiel. Both are in Scotland and are the scene of several important moments in the saga. The magnificent Hogwarts Castle, on the other hand, is in England.
N°4 : Dunkirk in France
The film Dunkirk is a film about the Second World War, awarded at the Oscars in 2018. It was a worldwide success and is a very moving film as the scenes are so close to reality.
Several scenes were shot in Dunkirk in the north of France, notably to represent the battle of Dunkirk in 1940. The beach of Malo-les-bains, 4 kilometres long, became the theatre of the film for several months.
N°5 : Bienvenue chez les ch’tis in France
This French film was largely shot in the northern French town of Bergues.
The warm atmosphere of the film has led to the development of tourism in this small village of 3,800 inhabitants. The town’s tourist office set up the “Ch’ti tour” following the film and its popularity.
