D1 – Arrival in Marseilles (40 km)

Arrival in the afternoon. Discovery at leisure of Marseilles’ city center and tasting of the traditional ‘navettes’ (local biscuits). Check-in at your 3* hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

D2 – Marseilles, a maritime city
(50 km)

Breakfast. Meeting with your full day guide. This morning you will visit l’Estaque, a place painted in several masterpieces such as L’Estaque from Jean Renoir or Les Maisons à l’Estaque from Georges Braque. Lunch. On the afternoon, guided visit of the ‘panier’ area and the Old Port. More than 100 years ago, Charles Camoin, a local painter captured the landscapes’ beauty on different paintings such as the Le Vieux Port aux Tonneaux. Dinner. Overnight.

D3 – Discovery of the Var (120 km)

Breakfast. Meeting with your full day guide. Road to Bandol. In the 18^th century, Joseph Vernet received an important Royal order and started to draw several harbours from France, including Bandol. Road towards Toulon. Lunch of fish. Then, discovery of the harbour onboard of a boat, symbolizing the city military power and painted by Vernet several times. Dinner. Overnight.

D4 – In the footsteps of Cézanne (90 km)

Breakfast. Meeting with your full day guide. Road towards Aix en Provence. Discovery of the Sainte Victoire Mount and its incredible landscapes, masterpieces of Cezanne. Lunch. On the afternoon, the guided tour continues at the heart of the city. You will pass by the Café des Deux Garçons, a famous place frequented by Cezanne and his painters’ friends. Dinner. Overnight.

D5 – Local discoveries in Marseilles

Breakfast. Commented tour in the Soap Museum, discovery of the workshop. Every guest will receive his own local soap. Lunch under own arrangement. End of our services.
